A garden to gather in

We design villa gardens in Riyadh and Jeddah. We come to the site, develop the design and can stay involved while your contractors build it.

Coffee in a quiet corner, a majlis that seats the whole family, children playing within sight. We start by asking what you want room for, and the layout follows from that.

Where would you like to sit?

Shade where you need it
A seat for the morning and a table for the evening need different things. We look at the sun, the way out of the house and where you want to linger, then plan the pergolas, trees and paths around those moments.
A place for guests, and a place for you
A majlis, a dining table and a children’s corner each need their own space. The layout and screening let people gather while keeping quieter parts of the garden private.
Riyadh: summer heat, dust and cool winter evenings
Inland Riyadh has long, dry, very hot summers, sand-laden winds and nights that turn cool in winter. We plan deep shade and moving air for the hot months, shelter the seating from dusty wind, and give the family somewhere warm to sit on a winter evening. The planting has to take both the heat and the cold nights.
Jeddah: humidity and sea air
On the Red Sea coast, Jeddah stays hot and humid for much of the year, and its winters are mild. Seating there needs moving air as much as shade, and materials, fixings and plants have to cope with the humidity and, near the sea, with salt.

From our work in Abu Dhabi

For a family on Saadiyat, we arranged an outdoor majlis, a dining and barbecue area, and a shaded place for the children. Pergolas, mashrabiya screens and broad-canopied trees give the garden its structure. Drip irrigation serves the planting.

The garden is built. The family keeps the finished place private, so we show the drawings and visualizations. Our part was the landscape design and support during the build.

This garden is in the UAE; we have no project in Saudi Arabia yet and are taking on work there now. Our team has been designing and building gardens around family houses for fifteen years, most of that time in Russia, and has worked internationally as Charmonye since 2024.

From the first conversation to the site

We visit your plot and talk through how the family will use it. The design develops into a master plan, visualizations and drawings for levels, materials, planting, lighting and irrigation. These let you see the proposal and a contractor price the work.

If your own contractors carry out the work, we can visit at key stages, answer their questions and adjust the drawings when site conditions call for it. You hold the building contract and manage the schedule and budget with them.

If you would like us to take on design and build together, tell us at the beginning. We agree the team and our scope for your site before work is commissioned.

More about working with us

Already have a garden, or still choosing a plot?

You can start with either. For an existing garden, tell us what you use, what you want to keep and what needs to change. Before buying a plot, a consultation can help you understand the access, levels, water and possibilities for a garden.

Tell us about your place

Where is the villa, and what would you like to do outside? A few photos or a plan are useful if you have them. Let us know whether you need a design, help during the build, or a first look at the plot.
